Blue Valley Trailers is a family-owned business in Kansas that offers a full line of trailers for agricultural and construction use.

Terry and Alice Roepke, owners, said they have a location in Waterville and Fort Scott. Their son Luke also owns the business. They cover customers in eastern Kansas, southeast Nebraska, western Missouri and northeast Oklahoma.

Terry Roepke said they offer a full line of trailers for livestock and agriculture, construction, landscape and recreational purposes.

They have a full selection of livestock, enclosed, flatbed and utility trailers including from Titan, H&H, Sharp, Travalong, Wilson and PJ. There also have used trailers available.

They offer aluminum stock trailers, cargo trailers, car haulers, dump trailers and skid loader trailers. They also offer customized horse trailers.

He said they sell Wilson, Hillsboro and Titan aluminum stock trailers and light utility trailers made by H&H. The in-line hay trailers they offer are locally made Bale Buzzer trailers and Hay Liners.

In addition, they lease and sell Travalong grain trailers.

The Roepkes began operating Blue Valley Trailers in Blue Rapids in 2000 and in 2001 moved to their current location in the east side of Waterville. The dealership in Fort Scott was added in November of 2014.

Roepke said they have recently purchased Rocking M Trailers in Waterville and are now the only trailer dealership in the city. They sell and lease Shur-lok tarp systems, DewEze products and Interstate Batteries.

He said they are geographically close to the factories of some of the main brands they sell.

He said Titan, Travalong and Sharp factories are located in Waterville and nearby Blue Rapids and they make some of the most well-known in the market. Hillsboro is also a Kansas-made trailer. Hustler and Grasshopper lawn mowers also are made in Kansas and the Drop ‘N Locks gooseneck hitches are built locally.

“The close proximity allows us to show our customers new and unique options on trailers, offer factory tours, gain quick access to trailer parts and eliminate costly freight expenses on our local brands,” Roepke said. “Our staff has a broad knowledge of trailers and can educate our customers on features and options they perhaps hadn’t considered.”

Their service department also repairs trailers. They have a shop to work on axles, brakes, lights, flooring and does minor welding on trailers.

In addition, they offer service after the sale on their equipment and they provide a retail area for trailer and lawn mower parts. They serve Hustler mowers at both locations and their Fort Scott location sells and services Grasshopper lawn mowers.

Blue Valley Trailers in Waterville has 28 storage units for rent and has a propane filling station.
