Steiner Implement Co. is a family-owned business in Sabetha, Kansas, that specializes in selling grain augers, grain vacs and feed wagons.

The original owner of the business was Reuben Steiner who opened the business to aid farmers in 1942. His son, Bob Steiner, began running the co. operations in 1972.

Bob Steiner remains a farmer and he received his airplane pilot license in 1975.

Steiner Implement Company started by selling Oliver and New Hollard products.

Today, the business sells short-line products such as Mayrath Grain Augers and REM Grain Vacs. They also sell Schuler Manufacturing Feed Wagons that were recently acquired by Vermeer Corporation along with other lines.

Steiner said the business offers repair and service to customers for the lines they sell.

“The product line companies that I have are very easy to work with,” Steiner said. “If there is a problem, they take the time to solve it. They care for the success of their dealers and the value they offer customers. They care about the quality, performance and longevity of the service behind it.”

In addition, he has made hydraulic hoses for years.

“I can make a new hose with almost any end that there is,” Steiner said.

He said the implement company has worked with farmers from across the region to meet the needs of their operations.
