The Rusty Chandelier in St. Joseph will host a three-day vintage Christmas open house this weekend.

Mary McPhee, general manager, said the event will offer holiday gifts and décor.

“This is the time of year when customers start thinking about their Christmas decorations, family and food,” McPhee said. “The vintage Christmas decorations are still very collectable, especially the old silver Christmas trees with the color wheel.”

She said the trees range in price from $100 to $250. They also sell old-fashioned glass Christmas ornaments. Shiny Brite glass Christmas tree ornaments were the most popular ornaments in the United States throughout the 1940s and 1950s.

The Vintage Christmas Open House will be from Friday, Nov. 8 through Sunday, Nov. 10. Refreshments will be provided. Attendees can enter to win prizes and there will be daily drawings for a gift certificate to the mall.
