Hundley Insurance Services is a family-owned business in Atchison, Kansas, that specializes in providing agricultural producers with policies.
Bryce Hundley and his father David offer insurance policies for customers whether they live in the city or have a farm. The business was started by Bryce’s grandfather Robert and opened in 1952. The business started in Robert’s home before it was moved to a location downtown. The family has been in the same office location since 1987.
Bryce Hundley said they have customers that have spanned over 50 years and multiple generations.
Hundley said they offer home, auto, business and life insurance but specialize in ag-business and personal policies.
He said they shop for the best policy for their customers.
“We are considered in the insurance industry to be an independent agent,” Hundley said. “We have contracts with as many companies as we can get so we can find the best product for our customer.”
He said they work with farming operations ranging from row crop to livestock. They work with small and large companies such as Nationwide, Travelers Insurance, Marysville Mutual Insurance Company and Buckeye Insurance Group.
Hundley said they offer personal policies through options such as bundling home and auto plans.
“We have a lot of customers that own rental locations that we bundle together and keep it under the same company if possible,” Hundley said. “But we can also find several companies if need be to match what you need. Everybody is different.”
He said they have a program where those that refer others to their business receive a $10 Pizza Hut gift card and are put into a drawing for an RTIC soft side cooler which is drawn quarterly.
